A loves to look around in the backyard for bugs. She's usually looking for lady bugs and butterflies. Lately she has been running into a lot of friendly bugs. She told me the other day that some even had their bums hooked together. Yesterday, we took the kids to the gardens at Thanksgiving Point. We are wandering around and A says "Look mom. More bugs on top of each other." "Wow they must be giving each other piggy back rides" I say. Then A says, "J said they might be having babies". So....Do I have to start explaining things??? Anyway, M thinks it's really funny and told me to hurry and take a picture. So here you go...Call me gross. We snapped this and the two of them hopped off together for some privacy in a shrub.

Trying to be gentle about the birds and the bees thing is so hard! Jade being almost 7 when I got pregnant and had Harley was not easy to explain. I did my best on going around things and not being detailed. The only thing she asked me after the explaining t(hat I'm sure made no sense). She said " tell me one thing, I wasn't home when Harley was planted, was I? Tell me that I was over at my dads" and of course that is what I told her..
I will have a chat with little Jade and let her know not to be saying stuff like that.
